The President of Honour of WWF was the king Juan Carlos of Spain. After his famous hunting of elephants in Africa some people in WWF felt embarrassed to have such a king in such a position.
So they have decided to get rid of a Presidency of Honour and in this way they have been able to get rid of their honorary president.
