The first time I knew about the existence of Jorge Semprún was at the time he became Minister of Culture in the Spanish government some decades ago. Soon, I realised that we did not have just another minister. Soon, I read news about his life. Today, in the news they say that he supported cultural projects in Barcelona such as the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, L’Auditori, etc.
He used to write in French and his death is also news in France.
