A NAME FOR A NEW ISLAND

Foto de El Hierro

It seems that soon we will have a new island in the canary Islands! Next to EL HIERRO. So, if we have a new island, this island will need a name!
I am just wondering who is going to put the name to the Island. If I had to put a name to it I just will call it INTERNET so that future generations could know that the island was just born more or less at the same time that Internet was born.

Anyway, maybe the people in EL HIERRO should be the ones who should put the name because they are the ones who are going to live next to the new island. Nonetheless, and in order to promote tourism to EL HIERRO to see the new island, I proposo that EL HIERRO authorities open a website where people around the world can suggest a name for the new island! They chose the name but let the whole planet share the birth of this new island!

Here I suggest some names:

LA HERMANA

LA NUEVA

INTERNET

ATLANTIDA

LA ISLA BONITA (and then you call Madonna to sing the song …)

Or maybe they could sell the island! To buy an island may had been the dream of some of the most wealthy people around the planet but to buy just a brand new born island must be terrific!

Maybe GOOGLE could buy the island … and call it GOOGLE …

YEAH, THE ISLAND SHOULD BE CALLED GOOGLE! After all, it is Google the one responsible to know the planet better than ever thanks to its maps! By the way, they will have to update their maps soon …
