It is news that Andreu Mas-Colell has gone to London and to the Financial Times. One of the reasons of the trip is to attract investors to the new Catalan bonds (with about a 5% coupon)
As I was watching the news I wondered if the real impact of his trip won’t be in London but in Catalonia because people in Catalonia who want to buy the bonds may feel reassured by the nice words said about him in the news.
Anyway, as the FT is always very critical of the eurozone I wonder what will be the next article of the FT about Catalonia or Spain.
I wish the best to Andreu Mas-Colell.
